Sevice Project!

                 On Saturday 9/17/11, I had the opportunity to a service project. We were cutting down trees for the trail and also we were doing a food drive and we collected over 50,000 products! We had so much fun! I love serving people and it makes me feel really good inside that I am going something good. It was awesome to see everybody in our stake and what was even more awesome was that there were about 500 people there. I was so grateful to hear that number because it is amazing that, that many people showed up to serve!
                 I also want to talk about how I gave a talk on Sunday. I was nervous but I loved giving it. If you ever get the chance to look it up it is by David B. Haight about Come to the House of the Lord in April of 1992 General Conference. I advise you to read it because it has very many good quotes. I am also so excited for next Sunday cause the youth get the opportunity to hear from one of the Quorum of the Seventy. I am so excited that we get that opportunity to have one come up. I hope everyone has a great week!

HIGH SCHOOL!!

Last week we went back to school and surprisingly I am in High School! I have great classes and I am so glad to have classes with my buddies. This year I was lucky to have church friends in my lunch which is Sydney, Taylor, Lauren, Jourdan, and Amy! They are awesome! I was really nervous for high school but after the first day, it was really easy. I also have the chance this year to go to seminary! Seminary started today and I thought it was amazing. We are doing Old Testament this year and am excited to learn new things in that section. I am really excited about this school year!

Forth of July Weekend!

 

Our forth of July Weekend was amazing! We had the chance to go to Nauvoo and Carthage and it was by far my favorite day that day! Sorry I don't have any pictures of us on the forth of July! We had a great experience at Nauvoo and Carthage and encourage you to go sometime if you can! I know that this church is true and that Joseph Smith was and is our Prophet! I know that scriptures are true!

Youth Conference!

I had the chance to go to Youth Conference this year! I was so happy that we were able to go to the temple. My Ma and my Pa were from the Spanish Branch and we Brother and Sister Lenard and they were the nicest people ever especially to let us stay at their house. My other Ma and Pa that took us everywhere was Brother and Sister Lefler and they were really funny and nice! I love both my Ma's and my Pa's so much! I had a good experience at the temple that day. The temple president said that if you look at the font you will notice it looks like a key and that you are opening a door for them. That just really hit me that we really are opening a new door for someone who can't by themselves. Then that night we had dinner and a dance. The dinner was so pretty and tasted really good. Also the dance was a blast and I was so happy of myself to dance every slow dance. The next day, was testimony meeting and some of them really hit me inside. I am so glad that I have a testimony.
I would just like to say that I know this church is true and that having an opportunity to go to the temple was a marvelous thing. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith translated the Scriptures.

It was so cute, we woke up and we looked outside and saw that we got smiley attacked! It just made my day to see that!

Graduation!

My oldest sister, Shantelle, Graduated June 4'th! I am so proud of Shantelle for graduating! I am really going to miss her once she goes to school in September. Great Job Shantelle and I am very proud of you! I LOVE YOU!

Track Season!

Sorry I have not posted in a while.  Our computer broke and we finally got it back.  Track season this year was awesome!!  It was tiring though at the same time but I really enjoyed it!  My time increased during the track season, my time started out as a nine minutes fifteen seconds and then at the end of the year it was a seven nineteen.  I was so proud it went down that much!  I was so greatful I did that and that also my friends pushed me to do it because in a few weeks Cross Country conditioning for High School starts.  I am so greatful for the oppertunity to excercise and run!

Spring Break!

So for Spring Break, we went to our Grandma and Grandpa's house in Illinois. We had a blast there and we also enjoyed seeing our cousins! During Spring Break, we couldn't do much becasue it was raining and it was really cold outside. Also during Spring Break, our car wouldn't start. We went to get a new battery and then, after we tried it again the next day with the new battery, the car wouldn't start. So we had to have someone tow it away and fix it! Oh well! We had lots of fun! During Spring Break, we bought the movie Tangled. Tangled is now my new favorite movie! I was so sad at the end though that I cried! I am so glad my family and I could go to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for Spring Break! I am also so glad to be at home and go back to see my friends!

Hat Making!

So for the Good Works Project for Personal Progress, I am making hats. I have had a lot of fun making hats and will continue to make them in the future. I have now made seven hats in three days. My first three hats did not turn out really well. The other four thought didnt turn out to bad. I am so glad for Sister Berguson to letting me use her looms! I am so grateful to know how to make hats so that I can make them for people in need. I would also like to say that I am so grateful for Personal Progress. If it wasn't for Personal Progress, then I dont know if I would of made hats.

This hat though is a hat that I made Yesterday. I am wearing this hat for hat day at our school! This one is my favorite hat!

Young Women's Conference

I had an opportunity to go with my mom and my sister Shantelle to see the Young Women's Conference yesterday. I just wanted to say that this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Prophets lead our church. I am really grateful for the Young Women and for the program. I have learned so much from Young Women's and I am grateful. I am grateful for the Bishop and his counselors.
